Don't think about it. Just do it. Buy them immediately. I wear between a 7 and a half & 8, have high arches & wide feet. I always do an 8 in boots to give room for tights & thick socks. The reviews had me worried - I went with my gut & got an 8. PERFECT FIT!!!!! Even that Amazon suggested size feature said to buy a 7 and a half - NOPE. I'm 5'6, 165 horrific lbs (post baby). My thighs & calves are average sized but that makes little difference because the leverage given by the laces fixes all of that. TOTALLY adjustable. They come to about 2 inches above the top of my kneecap. No, there's no split in the back (which I usually hate anyway because I think it makes thigh high boots look bulky, not sleek), but they DO have elastic darts on the inside about an inch away from the zipper. Perfect. They're not thigh highs if yr looking for something 3 or so inches above the knee - freak-em-boots. They ARE, however, everyday sexier-than-the-average-joe boots. They ain't Uggs, ok? ;-)
For example: "Oh! Sexy? *blush* my goodness! Why thank you! They're my fave boots, yes. Hey, cd U tell me in what aisle are the Nutella & strawberry preserves?"
Like that, Ladies. Like that. ;-)
The toe is tapered but not POINTY, nor is it rounded. It's the shape of the tip of a natural fingernail. Hope that makes sense. I have a new bunion (inherited - thanks Mom) & these boots give me zero issues with it.
As an ex-bartender, I would TOTALLY wear these for work, but if I planned on being active for hours at a time I'd slip in a gel insole or something of the like. But wldnt U do that with any heel U plan to actively wear for more than 6 hours? 0_0
The heel I measured at 3 and a half inches - stacked, sturdy, chunky but still tapered. Meaning the circumference where it meets the shoe is slightly wider than the part that meets the ground. VERY slight difference - just enough to make it NOT look like the chunk heels of the 60's &
70's (or that "Groove is in the Heart" video from the 90's). Just enough to keep it sleek & sexy...but not TOO sexy. Perfect to pair with leggings or jeans (jeggings), a regular ole bulky or slightly fitted sweater/tunic & an ornate belt...and still look like U actually put time into making it into an outfit. Or a mini sweater dress with textured tights? MERCY.
I throw these on with whatever is lying closest to me when I take my 4 yr old to preschool at the a**crack of dawn &
I'm always complimented by other moms on looking "so well put together".
I'm telling U, Ladies, theses boots are an outfit maker.
I got them in tan (not tan 15) & they are a slightly weathered look, the color of an almond shell. Or, for cosmetic folk - golden almond. And as others have stated, YEP, I'm going back for both the black and brown. TODAY.
I don't know about those other shinier "15" labeled colors so I can't vouch for them, but if U've read this entire review U've already wasted too much time in the buying process. Put em in your cart NOW & keep on movin. :)
I got them on Prime for $27. No discount, no review given for a special price, no disclaimers, none of that crap. Just real talk here.
I buy a lot of stuff on Amazon (did I mention my 4 year old Wildchild?) & this is EASILY one of the best purchases I've ever made here.
        Hope this helps.
        Happy shopping sisters!

Okay so I received these boots today & for those of you who are weird about packaging .. It was good I guess?
I ordered them in a 6&1/2 color tan.
For some reason when I first unboxed them I was kind of disappointed ..
They looked a little too big & bulky.
I decided to give them a try before I just abandoned them in my closet. I threw on some black leggings & tried them on & oh my gosh I just love them so much! They look beautiful . They don't look bulky at all ! They're true to size .. actually a little snug but I figure they'll be perfect for cold weather & big cozy socks. I've seen these go for 75-80$ in stores so for under 30$ they're definitely a great purchase.
JUST BUY THEM .. you won't regret it !

        Updated review:
Holy hell, these boots are GARBAGE. I've had them for a little over three weeks, I wear them maybe twice a week to my office job where I sit at a desk all day, and I live in southern California where there is absolutely no rain or bad weather - and the verdict? THESE BOOTS WENT TO s***. The leather is all bent and warped, the seams are fraying, they are horribly distressed looking. They look like boots I've beaten the s*** out of for ten years and never cared for. I have several other brands of boots that I have resoled over and over again over the years and have had professionally cleaned and maintained. These boots will fall apart years before the sole needs repair. How is it that the rest of the boot falls apart in three weeks, when the sole has only encountered only a couple of miles of wear? They look like trash. I would give them zero stars if I could. DO NOT BUY.

        Previous review:
Giving 4 stars for now but I've only worn them for 2 days so TBD. There is already a LOT of wear and tear just from wearing them for two days to my office job. Knicks all over the leather. Creases in front of the ankle. A thread hanging off the back. They are DAMN nice looking boots though. I'm hoping that the fast wear and tear is designed to give them character, because overall they feel like a great quality boot. So far I'm pleased, but like I said: TBD.

I really like this shoe, it fits well. True to size, not too small or too big and it's comfortable to wear all day. Love it.

Very comfy shoes but since I am hard on shoes they are starting to look sad, which makes me sad.
